Probably the longest book I've read. 716 pages. I am not a big fan of large books, nor do I consider myself an avid reader of Russian Literature. I picked up only after my friend's suggestion.
And boy, I am blown away. The story narrates the events of Prince Myshkin, a man whose pure-hearted nature clashes with the moral corruption and hypocrisy of Russian high society. The story ends in tragedy as Prince Myshkyn finds himself in a morally numb state after going through a love triangle. Nothing too profound. But with the presentation, Dostoevsky is just the goat. The Idiot is a perfect book for someone seeking beautiful literature/presentation. If you are more into practical books, you will find it a bit lingering at times, like me. Still, don't regret reading it.
